For today’s Audacious Generosity podcast, Pastor Kevin reads the introduction chapter of Audacious Generosity. We all have the innate desire to be more generous but we do not know how and, worse,we sometimes feel like we have nothing more to give. This is the fear of failure that we encounter and keeps us from being generous. Unfortunately, most of us have no margin in our life for generosity. We have maxed out financially and are already overbooked. It takes all that we have to hold our own lives together which, in turn, makes the great commission that Jesus gives us at Matthew 28:18-20 our last priority.
You are not alone in this struggle as Pastor Kevin has been there where you are right now. We know the frustration that comes from the endless sense that we ought to give more without having a clear path of how to become more generous. We know the fear that giving now could result in the humiliation of complete financial ruin later but it doesn’t have to be that way. We sincerely want to help others to survive and thrive too but the problem is that we have learned to avoid the subject of giving.
