Connect with God. Commit to reading the bible. In the quiet, we can sincerely open our hearts and minds to God’s voice. His wise and guiding whispers become clear. It’s setting up a special place and time where we can have a meaningful conversation with God. Through prayer, meditation, and being present in the moment, we not only hear but really understand the subtle whispers of God. This connection brings comfort, calmness, guidance, and spiritual nourishment to our lives.

In the Bible, we find countless examples of God calling people into stillness. The most well-known verse of stillness is Psalm 46:10 – “Be still and know that I am God”. This verse from the Psalms emphasizes the importance of quieting our hearts and minds to truly connect with God. Stillness is not just physical state but a state of the soul, allowing us to recognize God’s presence.

Even Jesus withdrew to quiet and solitary places for prayer and reflection. In the Gospel of Matthew, it is mentioned that Jesus went up on a mountain by Himself to pray.
